hey thur!
i recently acquired a half decent motherboard from a mate who got a new rig ( P4 hyper-threaded 3.20 GHZ, 2.5 GB RAM). the only problem is the mobo doesn't have a PCI-E slot. i don't really want to get a new mobo to put the processor in due to a lack of knowledge about fitting processors ( the only piece of hardware i've never fitted)
So i'm looking for a Windows 7 Aero compatible PCI graphics card because the onboard graphics are honestly the worst graphics i've ever seen.
This graphics card must be able to run less graphics heavy games like Minecraft but that's about it.
Any ideas?
Thanks :)

Every P4SE board I see has an AGP slot. That would be the brown one that is used for dedicated graphics before PCI-E came out. You can get some decent AGP cards on Ebay for pretty cheap.

Sounds like an OEM Dell board, maybe HP. They removed the AGP to save a few pennies.

Dell wouldn't do that, Trot. :p HP, I'm guessing.

I'm not exactly sure if Win 7 will have any drivers for PCI graphic cards. Could be wrong..
