each year i try to buy tickets to a hugely popular festival, soon as the site opens for bussiness i normally loose connection with the site and left with a greyed out page, i have been informed by people at the site that it has not crashed but is probably due to high demand with my internet provider.

this year i am able to use my work computer and we have some massive server thingy, do you think this will solve my problem?

No, the problem is on their side, not yours.

It won't help. The website is just being over loaded, it may not have crashed, but it is being brought to its knees due to traffic. In theory, if your internet is fast enough, and your fast enough, you will be able to get the tickets.
