A few things I want to ask about before upgrading

Hello. Sorry for all the threads lately, I figured I'd make this one and fit all my darn questions in here ^_^.

First of all, does this look like a good boot drive to you guys? I'm quite a noob when it comes to SSDs: Newegg.com - OCZ Onyx Series OCZSSD2-1ONX32G 2.5" 32GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

What would that speed up exactly? I would put Windows in there exclusively, so anything to do with the OS would be quick I assume?

For being SATA2 that is kind of slow. I mean, you would still notice a great improvement over a regular drive, but I think if you wanted to go cheap you should get a Vertex 2.

This is only a bit more, faster, and higher GB as 32 is pretty tiny even for just OS.

If I'm using a second hard drive for frapsing, will this be bare minimum? : Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Blue WD2500AAKX 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive I really can't go above that for the 2nd hdd, that'll just be for frapsing. Or will that not even help?

When you are switching to SSD it is best to do a fresh format so when you install your programs you make sure they go to the drive the way they are supposed to.

What's the difference on the amount of bands/antennas on the router? If it's about range of connection, I honestly don't need it to go so far.

Bands and antennas are speed. 5ghz range has a lot less interference and so you could get full speed better. The better the range on the router the less of a speed drop you will have periodically if any at all.

Btw, the LAN ports are only 10/100 if that makes any difference to you.

Well my current router is a Linksys WRT54G2. What does that affect, if anything? Not sure. (Referring to the LAN 10/100 ports).

That's odd, some routers don't have a range/frequency http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127288. Like that one.
