Libre is the new Open Office. Oracle screwed up Open Office pretty much, and the original dev's got sick of Oracle and created Libre Office.

You try creating an office suite for free that works just as well as MS Office . Not as easy as you would think.

The problem with it is I am a student, and I need to do MLA formatting, projects with other MS users, and I know that it is compatible, but it is not as complex. Does anyone know of any college deals for MS and Windows 7? My brother is a college student and I could get the discounts.

It depends. There are upgrade versions and full versions of Windows 7 Pro.

Those are full versions.

My university offers the same thing and I have Win 7 Pro on my laptop from it.
