so i just received my new i5 i tried installing it and i just get a few beeps and no video signal WTF!~!!!! so frustraded i dont no what to do ): any help would be much appreciated DX4860-UB20P | Model

did you try to put an i5 processor in an i3 motherboard?

Yes its the same socket so it should work right?

I think you're system can not handle an i5. Gateway is like that. You need to buy the best next system to upgrade.

Which i5 did you get? The specification document says the following are supported:

Intel® Core™ i7-2600 processor
Intel® Core™ i5-2500 processor
Intel® Core™ i5-2400 processor
Intel® Core™ i3-2120 processor
Intel® Core™ i3-2100 processor
