you are going to spend over 2k on monitors?...

is anyone going to answer my question or are you going to just rip on my choices? I asked if I could get a recommendation for mobo, cpu, and ram but no one seems to be helping me.

$10K is way over the top for a personal computer. A server? Maybe. but not a gaming PC.

Honestly, the biggest/most expensive is not always the best choices. why get more RAM than you could currently use... even if you completely loaded THE OS and all your running programs into it. Once you cross 16/32GB it gets to be excess baggage.

Monitors are a different story, though, as screen real estate is something you can't have too much of.

My recommendation would be to go with an upper end Intel CPU, a decent mobo that has the features you want, a RevoDrive (newest version, at least 128GB), a couple of other drives, 32GB of RAM (with at least half set aside to be used as a RAMdisk), and probably a set of 78xx series GRX cards set up in crossFireX to make use of Eyefinity.

No hate. If you're building a $10k PC, I expect to see either a dual GPU (690/590), or SLI/CrossfireX.

the gpus you picked out are out of stock. get a single gtx 690 due out on may 3rd for 1k, which will free up a slot.

spend the bulk of the money on very nice monitors and a long rifle. say some tft panels and an m-4 or an ak-47 (with a milled action, not stamped.)

With having that much of a budget to spend, do your homework. Dollar signs don't necessarily mean you are getting the best component. Read newegg reviews, check out Anandtech.com for reviews, etc. etc.

Further suggestions that I have:

CASE: You MIGHT want to look at a different case. I assembeled my brothers computer this weekend, and he got the Antec P280 mid tower case. I have worked with MANY cases before, and if you are wanting to route cables BEHIND the motherboard try to keep the inside looking nice and tidy, get a case which is similar to the Antec P280. It has the DEEPEST back of the case I have ever seen. It's a good inch or inch and a half maybe. I would have to measure it. Compare that to my Antec 900 which I literally cannot get the back panel of the case on because there are too many cables back there, because it only has a fraction of an inch for routing cables. For comparison, pull up Photos of the case you selected, and the Antec P280, compare the photo of the back of the cases. Look at the amount of space between the bottom of the Motherboard I/O panel and the back of the case, this will give some indication of how deep it is behind the mobo tray. Personally, I will NEVER use a case with a shallow area back there.

SSD/HDD: My suggestion here would be to get a couple of SSD's, say a pair of 128 gig, or 240/256 gig drives to use for your OS install, and any installed programs, along with any frequently used large documents or anything like that. Then for storage, pick up a couple of Western Digital VelociRaptor WD1000DHTZ (10,000 rpm 1tb drives).

Woah, buddy i think you're better off ordering yourself the best PC from alienware, and even then it's a bit overkill unless you're planning to run the Matrix or something... (sarcasm is an art form). I would suggest you keep the graphics card, bring it down on the motherboard a bit you really don't need it, processor is legit but really pricey, I'm sure you can find similar performance for almost half the price, maybe go up to 12 or 16 gigs of ram, and set yourself up a good Raid 0+1 system. And that samsung monitor is expensive.... a 300 dollar screen will do the job haha, or buy yourself a nice projector or multiple monitors.
