Hey guys im building my first PC for the very first time. Going to have a friend help put it together for me.
So basically i have a budget of $1000.
Please let me know what you guys think if i could improve the performance for the price and if everything im buying should fit properly.

Its worth the $10 more to get the 2600k so you can overclock.

$10, could also get you a 3770, though an overclocked 2600k will smoke it.

Would need a high end cooler to OC as much as the 3770. Stock for stock the 3770 is better by a margin.

Before you buy, don't forget to add a monitor and the OS into your budget as well.

Why not buy the PSU and CPU on Newegg as well? Just do one big order, maybe find a good combo deal? And for the Proc, you could always drop to the 2500k and OC it. Just a thought

Because the 2600k is 50 bucks cheaper at MC.

Hey guys i am going to be pulling the trigger on this PC build very soon (friday)
but i have one last question whats better the i7 2600k vs i7 3770?? or the i5-3570K as i see more pc gaming builds use it more.
