Yes, it can see but will not actually properly use it all, this is something that was discussed a lot here about 3 years ago, the conclusion here was that if you had 3.5GB of total RAM in a system (GPU+System RAM+RAM that any other device has on board) then it will address at most 3.5GB. Things may have changed, but, aside from that, your motherboard isn't designed to have more than 2GB total system RAM, as it is a limitation of the low end chipset.
