hp dv 6700 on laptop lcd

I have an hp dv 6700 that gets no display. The monitor lights up but no picture. I have replaced the lcd, display inverter and the monitor cable to no avail. If i hook up to an external i get picture. I also flashed the bios. function f4 does noting. The only component left is the systemboard but i don't know if that is the solution. I am stumped! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you replace the LCD? As in, bought a new one? Sounds like a bad backlight.

Just hook it up to a external monitor, if you get no video at all. It's the system mobo, I put my bet on the moterboard. HP's are notorious for this in my experience.

ahh sorry missed that part. It still sound's like the motherboard though.

As the external video work, I think it's something with the lcd connector pcb.
