I just purchased a new GTX 680 and was wondering how it would perform with my Intel i5 2500k. I believe that processor is sufficiently powerful to avoid bottlenecking, but wanted to be sure. Thanks for any feedback.

Windows 7 64 bit
Intel i5 2500k
GTX 680
16 gig ddr3 RAM
WD 1 TB HDD

I dont like the 680. Its an expensive form of the 580.but anyways. I have a friend who has the i5 2500k oc'd 4.3GHz and two gtx 580's in sli and he makes games his bit**.so yeah he believes he is not bottlenecked. So you will be fine.

Of course it has new features.I just dont see spending that much when a 570 or above gets the job done for gaming.Right now the 570 and 580 are still top gpu's.in a few months the 680 will show its true colors with the games.coming out this year demanding more but as is right now i would wait awhile and wait for.price drops before i buy something that my current.gpu can do.

The 680 is at minimum 12% faster than the 580 in games, and is lower priced than the 580 upon its release. The 680 is the top GPU until the 780 or 690 is released later this year (Kepler high end chip GK110). I have a 580 right now and will admit that if it wasn't for that dynamic overclocking **** I would have waited and got a 680.
