Need Mobo/GPU advice for new system

Hey Everybody!

I am doing a complete re-fit of my system and its going to be used for very heavy video editing/rendering of large files in CS5 Premiere and associated programs.
I have already Decided on the
Intel i7-3820 and im now stuck on which Mobo preferably Asus as they have already been good for me iv looked into it already and im thinking probably the Asus P9X79 Pro or is it worth spending a little bit more and getting the Rampage IV Gene any opinions advice would be appreciated.

I am also torn by the GPU's on one hand its the GTX580 or the Quadro 2000 (about the same price) just comparing spec the quadro is was worse but am i right in saying they are designed for professional designing...?

HDD i already have and was going to use them as follows:
hhd_0 - SSD 64GB system drive
hhd_1 - HDD 1TB files/documents
portable 1.5tb as backup
thought id see what you thought about that as long as i was here :D

Hope you can help and thanks in advance, Graeme!

New GPU, GTX 580 or Quadro 2000

Hey people of Tech-forums!

I have nearly finished my new build for a friend of mine and im stuck between these 2 GPU's either the GTX 580 or the Quadro 2000. She uses the machine generally for Video editing/rendering of HD videos in CS5 premiere, lighroom, after effects and other video/sound programs. I realise both these will do the job nicely but if its alot of video editing will you see a difference in time/quality with the quadro???

Thanks for your Help!!, Graeme :)

Re: New GPU, GTX 580 or Quadro 2000

I would go with the GTX 580.
A powerful processor would help to cut the rendering time down quite a bit.
Also, to power those powerful video cards, you will want a quality power supply such as a Corsair or Antec.
What are the specs of this build?

Iv got two 21.5" Monitors that give a resolution of 1920x1080 so go there.

I still havent picked a case any suggestions would be great but hopefully not to expensive im very close to budget looking for ~£70

Dont need an OS, Mouse or Keyboard

Any advice/recommendations would be great! If there is anything iv missed please let me know!!

I would not get a CoolerMaster PSU, they are really hit-and-miss with quality it seems.
650W should be fine for this build, although if you are planning on doing some heavy overclocking you may want more headroom.

@650W I'd go for the Corsair TX650 V2.
@750W I'd go for the XFX C.E.P 750.

I merged the three separate threads together since it is all one build.
