whats up guys,

i got my second 6950 today, installed it, downloaded the crossfire drivers, put the crossfire bridge on, enabled crossfire, jumped into a game and alot of not good things happened...

BF3 wouldnt start, crysis had a bunch of artifacts and sound didnt work, CODMW3 wouldnt go above or below 43fps, and when i was watching a youtube video i got a BSOD...

only thing that i see is that the driver numbers are different

ive never had 2 graphics cards and whats more i dont know ANYTHING about software, i dont even know where to begin. heres screenshots of things i think someone who knows what they are talking about might need:

1.What type of 6960's do you have and are they the same brand with exact model numbers ?
2.Which drivers did you download and please provide a link so that I and anyone else can check it to make sure its the right one.
3.Which windows 7 version you got and do you have a sp1 with it ?
4.Also please tell me your original screen size and refresh rate and what works best on a single card for your monitor.

Sorry about the list, but I need to know that so I can look into different areas to fix your problem or come close to it.

Have you tested both cards individually? Try doing a complete driver sweep and reinstall with both cards in. If that doesn't work, try lowering the clocks on both. Do you have two monitors? Try just one. Have any other Crossfire bridges? Worth a try

My last experience with dual video cards was a sour one.. My brother had two GTX 275's that went all goofy. I eventually got frustrated, sold them, and bought him an HD 5870. I assumed it was an isolated issue (Everything in the computer except the RAM was used).

.... talk to me like someone who doesnt have over 1,700 posts and is quote un-quote a monster techie...

how do i wipe the drivers entirely? i think i wanna do that first...

also, do you think i should flip the bios switches to the #1 posistion on both cards?

they dont support it anymore

EDIT:

alright... so

i took one of the cards out, and tested each card individually. and i see that the bios numbers are different

one of the cards bios number is:

#1 bios 013.008.000.010.039450(113-C2160100-107)
#2 bios 013.008.000.010.039450(113-C2160100-107) and the other is

#1 bios 013.008.000.009.039303(113-C2160100-107)
#2 bios 013.008.000.009.039285(113-C2160100-106)

the bios number should be the same, yes?

What are the manufacturing dates on them? I'm assuming they both work individually just fine?
I don't even know what these BIOS switches do, I don't think I've ever had a card that had them or I've never messed with them.. One of the two or a combination of both

Try them in another computer? That's one thing I didn't have when I had those two GTX 275's. I mean it could be the motherboard, but it could just as equally be something with the cards. It wasn't the SLi bridge because I had extras of that, tested different ones and it worked just the same.

Did you unlock them? Can you put them back to stock and see if they work? How about underclocking / undervolting them?

And I'm a bit confused. You say only one has the BIOS version ending in 106? In your screenshots they're the same.

Yes sean, from what I've read at another forum and a guide for this card you might want to have the same bios or things wont work out like it should.
You may want to contact the manufacturer and tell them whats going on and see if they might offer you a bios file to download if they your tech knowlegable to handle the task.
If not they may want to fix it themselves, so you have some options here.

@Ifargle: get yourself a new smiley emote dam it, your starting to scare the living daylights out of me with it. :|

This might do for ya:
