Hello All,
This is my first post. I'm ignorant when it comes to anything technical involving computers so I figured I would find a tech forum and consult people with more knowledge than me. I'm asking for a lot of information, so any help is greatly appreciated.
I'm looking for a gaming laptop and I want to be able to get the most bang for my buck. I'll be using it to run RPG type games with the highest resolution settings possible. It would be for games like the newest versions of Skyrim, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, etc. I don't mind if the laptop is overkill.
What I want is the most bang for my buck. I'm looking for big processing power with a powerful video card, but I also want overall quality for the rest of the computer. What I mean by the latter is a strong cooling system, a quality motherboard, an overall robust build where parts don't wear out quickly, etc.
My budget is in the $1500 range. I can stretch that a bit but I'd really like to stay below $2000.
I looked at Alienware and a Google search came up with something called "Battalion 101" as one that is high end. I noticed that 15 inch laptops are offered quite a bit, and I'm OK with it being that small. I'm assuming when you go small you can spend more money on the more powerful internal components?
Thanks again!
