I have an Abit AA8-Duramax board. It has 1 IDE controller that supports up to two drives. I have two drives in there and I have 4 SATA ports on the motherboard. I would like to connect an IDE CD-Rom drive. How can I do this? Is there a special cable that has an IDE end and a SATA end? Can I attach 3 IDE drives using one cable, a special cable?

Thanks

Almost posative it is only two IDE devices per cable, which would limit you to two devices on that port.

It may be possable, because I know you can buy SCSI PCI cards, that you can get a PCI card that will add a few ports for more IDE things.

Otherwise you can't add the third device
