So I am trying to buy the parts for a gaming computer worthy of playing games like diablo 3 on full graphics. My budget is $700 and I was thinking of using my tv as a monitor so I wouldn't need to spend the extra money. If anyone has any suggestions for a build they like it would be much appreciated. Also if this seems a little far fetched and $700 isn't enough I could revise my budget. Please let me know what the most economical gaming system would be. Thank you.

cp0020 you're missing a few pieces...

Its a pretty tight budget, got to $700 before a Case and OS:

CPU: $125 AMD 960T
MB: $150 MSI 890FXA-GD65
ODD: $17 LG 24X DVD/CD Burner
RAM: $55 8GB Mushkin Blackline 1600/CAS8
HDD: $85 500GB Hitachi Deskstar
PSU: $69 OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W
GPU: $200 ASUS GTX 560 DCII

Total = $701 (before shipping/rebates/combo deals/checking other sites)

bah! yeah i accidentally copied the GPU again instead of the HDD. i personally would have gone with have gone with amd to but i thought everyone else would have recommended intel.

I've found <$1K for a gaming build AMD is usually a better deal since you get more budget for the GPU.

missing not just HDD but ODD/PSU and a Case and OS like me.

after shipping the total is $698.84.

and you can use the windows 8 beta till you can afford whatever OS you want.

edit again... crap! forgot the dvd burner again... :/

Thank you so much this was a big help. Now time to get the money. And the operating system and case shouldn't be a problem. Thanks again.

That is darn close to my base build, mate, which ain't a bad thing.

I have the Antec 300 Illusion (had to beat the out-of-the-box airflow with its four installed fans).

I would go with the G.Skill over Mushkin, mainly because of my past experience with G.Skill.
Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

I would also go with this motherboard instead of the Asrock.
Newegg.com - ASUS M4A87TD/USB3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

I know the stock heatsink with my 965 sounded like a jet engine, so grab a decent, cheap cooler:
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler Compatible Intel Core i5 & Intel Core i7

Oh, and an optical drive:
Newegg.com - LITE-ON Internal 24x DVD-Writer 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM Black SATA Model iHAS324-99

im just all off today lol forgot to copy the link for the memory. but yeah the last combo included g.skill 8gigs. and also, ive heard alot of people complain about the stock heatsink but i literally have no noise with mine. guess i got lucky.
