White screen on turning on ... Can hear the laptop starting up though.

I can listen the startup music and beep sounds but screen is just white.

Inspiron (Dell) laptop.
Windows 7.

I was just listening music while this happened y'day. Since then, I can not see the regular windows screen.

Battery is good. I can hear the startup sound.

Tried to start it in Safemode, but just beep sound. Still white screen

Help!!!!

I connected my laptop to my desktop monitor. I can see the login screen and everything is working. So it seems screen problem...

I tried to restored to latest system restore point. Didn't work.

Any otherway I can find out the problem for this white screen on start up?

How to find what causing white screen?

Sounds like your screen is bad. The white you see may be the Dell logo trying to show up, but your screen is so distorted, that it only shows up white.

I updated all drivers, windows updates etc.

I am trying to listen the songs (still laptop is connected to my desktop monitor) or videos. The audio coming scratchy. It was not like that before. So is it a clue to the problem (whatever that is)?

In safemode, I can find the problem area?

Could just be the connections maybe switch cables something similar happened to me when connecting my laptop to my TV the cable was old

Update:

I took it to a computer tech. He said LCD screen gone bad. And I had to buy new one and install it.

Everything back to normal
