Quick thermal paste check not urgent

I set up my CM Hyper 212 EVO today with MX-4 thermal paste and it is working with temps. definitely lower, although it seems to jump weirdly from say 24C to 28C then back again when idle and happens to a lesser extent on load. Is this the thermal paste curing and should do anything even though the temps are still very good?

Temps can jump a bit, they usually jump at least 2ºC. This is because activity is still going on at idle and as the processor processes more information it gets warm, and processors heat up nearly instantly.
The jump of 4ºC is normal.

It happens. Even though it may be at idle, some programs are still working in the background, and may need more CPU power from time to time. So the heat spike for a few seconds. Doesn't hurt you one bit.

Did you put a grain of rice sized amount on your IHS? If so, it could be curing, but for the most part it is 100% normal as said previously.
