Question about a Mobile CPU

So I recently got a new laptop, its an Acer Aspire 5733. I've since upgraded the 4GB RAM to 8GB, but my CPU and Graphics controller are still a bit behind what I want from said PC. It's got an Intel Core i3 370M (2 Cores @ 2.4 GHz + 2 Threads) and it's alright, but it's what's running my graphics (Intel HD Graphics [2000 I think]) and want an upgrade for mild gaming and overall efficiency. Since my system is running the rPGA989 socket I figured I could upgrade to a better i3/i5/i7 mobile CPU and go with one that's got Intel HD Graphics 3000 to help with the gaming. I've half-decided on the i3 2370m since I'll get to keep my 2.4GHz CPU frequency and get the boost in graphics-processing from HD 3000. I learned that it's an rPGA988B and not an rPGA989 processor, but after reading up I found out that it's compatible (I think) because the 989 socket will fit 988A/988B CPU's and work just fine.

This leads me to my question: Does anyone know if I'm right about this, will the rPGA989 socket take socket G2/G1 988A/988B CPU's without issues?

You should be able to use "Socket G1/rPGA 988A".

From what I understand from reading that wiki and another support forum the specs on the core i5 and core i7 that cpu I italized "should" work.
I'm not going to tell you if GS2 may work, from what I've been reading for the past hour, many technicians are kinda skeptical on that issue due to a few revisions on the 988B compatibility.

If anyone else has more knowledge on the mobile cpus for laptops they should be here soon to confirm that.
I dont know why intel can't keep there naming structures right after they just stopped using the LGA 775 format. -_-

Where did you read that you can upgrade the CPU? According to the Acer support site, it only is compatible with 370m/380m.

Your graphics are integrated. To upgrade the GFX, you need a new board.

Basically, save up your money, and get a new one. If you want to game, never buy integrated graphics.

Thanks guys, I've decided to invest in a basic desktop PC for gaming and the like (with a dedicated video card), I'll keep my laptop for schooling and such. Thanks for the help.
