I didn't know 4x 7970s would really make that big a difference over 2x in today's games.
But if thats the case can replace these components in my build:

HDD: $160 1TB WD Caviar Black
SSD: $180 120GB Corsair Force GT
PSU: $270 Seasonic X-1250
GPU: $2,400 XFX 7970 Black Edition (x4)

Total = $4,960

Just saying, having the revodrive will absolutely maul any system that does not have one. You could upgrade it to a 480gb revodrive if you wish, however that would push it over $5000, so maybe if you get 2 7970's and a 480gb revodrive. This would work. Either way it will be extremely fast.

Heh. I think that just might bring the total build price a little ((><) space between the angle brackets) outside the budget. However, I will investigate the Revo drive. At first glance, I have to say I am impressed. I'll post an update to the build later.

Compared to the Vertex 3 480gb there is about a $300-$400 difference in price. However you could just get a 240gb Revodrive, that should be enough for most thing's you would use anyway

I consider myself an avid gamer, but my entire gaming collection does not even scratch 3+ TB. You must keep DOS logs of every action your OS takes.

In all seriousness, I do like that build. I think I would have to upgrade the CPU, though. I don't overclock, so I can use all the power I can get. Maybe I could get it as an OC'ing test platform.
