Most boards come with one IDE connection. And IDE drives are still being sold as retail, so they aren't dead yet. They are becoming more rare, though.

This is the 1st mobo I've ever owned that didn't have a IDE port. But I have a external IDE to usb enclosure I use on any IDE drives that come by.
