Which one should I go for? HP pavilion dm4/dv6, lenovo ideapad or dell products for $600- $750/800. i5, at least 4 GB RAM and 500 GB HDD plus long battery life-where I come from there're long power cuts. Not much of a gamer but I wanna be able to play some. Any other brands/products you could recommend? Also if I changed the normal 6 cell battery to 9-cell ones how long would the battery last?

Between a 6 and 9 call, you'd maybe get an extra hour out of it.
I would stay away from HP.

But, that's my take on it. I don't know the Lenovo side that well, and I think you need to go higher before you get a good system.
