So i got this baby for free, though my board is Am3 and I had some trouble getting it plugged in. I used the super long screws first to screw it in and it wasn't until I screwed the screws in all the way that I noticed the board was being pushed upwards because of the super long screws, it's so dark in there.

So in the morning I used smaller screws and got it screwed in successfully, but when I booted it all fans were spinning but no picture, no beeps.

I thought that the thermal paste was still moist on the CPU and cooler after sitting overnight, could this be a cause of the problem too?.

I then replaced the thermal paste with new stuff and put on my older CPU cooler and it still just spins the fans when i press the power button, so could this be the motherboard or the CPU?. What more tests should I do to troubleshoot?. Thanks in advance.
