I'm looking to build my own PC as my current one is getting pretty dated , I really only use my PC for playing poker , watching movies and general computing use. My budget is around £300-£400. I took some advice and put together this selection of components just like to know what you think and what limitations I may have or anything I could improve ....

Case - http://www.hardwareking.net/product_...VO-001BK-.html

Motherboard - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-...n-board-micro-

CPU - http://www.cclonline.com/product/267...essor/CPU4592/

Memory - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb-(...9-9-24-xmp-15v

Hard-drive - http://www.ebuyer.com/272944-seagate...che-st500dm002

Optical drive - http://www.ebuyer.com/194807-lg-ch10...-ch10ls20-auau

PSU - http://www.ebuyer.com/269259-corsair...mpsu-600cxv2uk

Operating system - windows 7 I can pick up home edition for around £70

This brings me in at £394.40 , would this computer last any length of time ? This to me looks pretty good but then again I'm a complete beginner at this and again open to suggestion on anything so if anybody can see anywhere that I could buy better for the money I'm paying.

Cheers
Danny.

Thanks , I was a bit worried about the PSU so I kinda just aimed high as to not get to little and screw the rest of the system . Thanks again for the reply I'll swap those items and then start ordering up next week . So would you say this is a decent system or the best for the budget I have ?

Danny.

Nice one , no thats fine I don't game anyway so this is ideal. Thanks again for the info
