Ugrading video card to play BF3.

Current setup is:

CPU: AMD 955
MOBO: 990xa-ud3 (AM3+)
Ram: 4 gigs

GPU: 9800GT OC

I'm thinking about getting a 550ti or 6850.

Which is better? Recommend anything else?

I was thinking the EVGA 550ti because it comes out to 99$ but is there really a performance difference between that and the 89$ card.

Taking a step up the 6850 seems like a better card... but is it worth the extra 30-40$?

Budget is about 150$.

look at some benchmarks and see how each card does in the games you are going to be playing and decide for your self if the FPS gain from one card to another is worth the extra dough...

Personally would go with the Gigabyte 6850.

1) It has a better cooler than the XFX and is already factory overclocked for you.
2) BF3 GPU Performance chart the 550Ti is < 4890 (source).

If you have enough money then go for the Asus geforce gtx 560Ti with Direct CU II. Well worth it. Can play BF3 easily with maximum settings.
