RAM Question

I recently upgraded my RAM from 4GB(2x2GB) to 8GB (2x4GB). It's the same exact RAM only one is 4GB total and one is 8GB total. I currently have the 2x4GB sticks in to make 8GB but I was wondering if I can combine the other 2x4GB RAM sticks to make 12GB?

odds are you'll hardly use the 8 Gb, let along the 12. i dont think it will hurt.

The only question is whether your motherboard will support it. There are various programs you can use to check how much you can use, and how many slots there are.
