no more than $700 without the video card. Kinda tight, but i'm hoping it's manageable.
And i don't think i'll need a copy of Windows, i have an installation CD laying around somewhere

$700 w/o a GPU isn't hard at all! However the Windows situation is iffy.
If you bought a full retail version of Windows its fine, though it can only be on 1 machine at a time.
But if it is an OEM license (came with a pre-built computer perhaps) then its tied to the motherboard it was originally installed on.

Yeah the RAM is out of stock currently, but would expect it to be back soon considering how popular it is.
And the case is personal preference, the case in the DIY kit would also work.

Hey guys, so I'm building a computer with the Christmas money i got this year, and my budget is around $1000. I've never built a computer before and I'm a total gamer, so this would be a great opportunity for me. Here's what i have for my build, is it all compatibile?
