HDD help

Ok I have a older computer is a Dell Optiplex GX260 running XP pack 3 and I'm trying to format the HDD size 80GB it wont do it, Im not sure but would this computer take that size of GB. The main HDD has 30GB, and I need it more room so I decided to put this 80GB as my second drive, but Im not to sure but I set the HDD as (Slave) and it say (for Slave you don't need any jumper) so it doesn't have any jumper, so I think that could be the problem.

As you can tell I right click my computer and press Manage and try to format it from there, and I left the computer like this all night woke up this morning and it was still saying Formatting.


Any clue was going on with my HDD or computer.

If Windows is seeing it, not an issue. I would look into using Gparted. It does more than the Windows mode.
