9800 pro or 9600xt?

I am still debating which video card I should get. I want to keep the price under $300 CND. I plan to be playing mainly HL2 and I am wondering which two video cards would perform better than the other and by how much. so whcih one is it boys? 9800pro or 9600xt?

Yeah its like...$375 or so? I'm not entirely sure, I believe the canadian dollar is like.... .80 cents to 1 US dollar...or something close to that I believe...but then again I haven't exactly brushed up on currency rates
