Hi guys im building a new gaming rig after 4 years, lol just to put it into perspective iv got a Radeon 3850 now :O
All advice is welcomed,

Apparently the 23inch LG monitor is the best IPS LED monitor you can get in that price range.

Monitor:
LG IPS236V-PN 23" LED Slim IPS DVI HDMI

i have that case, and love it. im not sure about australian prices, but based on the other prices, you might be able to find it a little bit cheaper than that if you look around. ive had better luck with western digital hard drives in general, the samsung spinpoint f3 is a bit to negligibly better/quieter than wd or seagate. that and go with the previously mentioned ram.

do you need to get windows, too?

so i decided to go with the
G Skill 8G(2x4G) DDR3 1600MHZ PC3-12800 CL9(8GBXL)
Internet Price: $66.00

whats the difference with that memory and this one ?? the one above is apparently a jigsaw

G Skill 8G(2x4G)DDR3 1600Mhz PC12800(CL9D-8GBSR2)
$60.00

The GBSR2 is a low voltage memory, 1.25v. The i5 2500K is designed for 1.5v memory like the GBXL or the memory I linked to.

You Need like at least a 650 Watts for a sapphire 6950 plus if u plan on overclocking the intel i5 2500k youll probally need a corsair 700

My i7 2600K overclocked to 5GHz with (2) GTX 480's only uses approximately 725w according to my Kill a Watt meter.
