Hi all,

I've bought a new laptop (Acer Aspire 5750G) there is an NVidia gt 570m in it but I can't seem to have it as a primary device. I can't switch off that onboard video card in my BIOS because there simply is no option for it.

I've switched off that onboard card via devices and then also switched off automatic driver installations. But I can't set my Nvidia card as 'active' I've installed the software.

Do I need to (physically) open my laptop and switch some cables or something? Because I really don't know what is going on..

Thanks

Go into NVIDIA Control Center. There, you can set to use the 570m as primary.

Edit: I had to do the same thing on my laptop to set my 310m as primary.

I tried that, but there isn't even an option of doing that. It always goes back to that stupid onboard card
