I am just trying to use the turbo 4ghz on the i5 2500k, I have it set in the BIOS to that and also set the vcore on my asrock extreme3 gen 3 to 1.26v but its showing at 1.32v on the asrock OC utility and core temp. How do I make it so it throttles from 4ghz when I need it and lower when I am idle? Thanks guys

also set the offset voltage to -.1v to try and help it stay lowered? is that right?

here is a picture of what is going on. CPUz does show it throttling down while the others dont, and the vcore is very different.

If you want it to throttle then you need to enable:
Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology, Intel Adaptive Thermal Monitor, CPU C1E, CPU C6 Report

If CPU-Z is showing the system throttle then it is working correctly, regardless of what something else may say.

Set the Offset Voltage back to it's default setting.
