Can you post a picture of the heatsink installed?

Okay, this is how it would look if I had the wire connectors which I don't. Look at how close it is. Now picture it with the plastic clips which make it extend another 1/4" over which would go well into the memory. If I can get coolermaster to send me the wire clips it will work great, if not, a new fan would be in order. One of the skinny scythe fans I guess. I could take off the heat spreader on the one stick of memory too.

don't move the fan, you just need the correct clips. I'll see if I can find you a link.

I contacted coolermaster and they say they no longer have those clips.

I have the hyper 212 plus and it does appear to extend over the ram a bit due the the fan. Either get a new fan or get ram with either a lower profile heatsink like g.skill, or no heatsink at all. Like Night Fox suggested you could just file down the heat sink on the vengeance.

I am sending it back to newegg and getting a no clearance cooler. I am getting the H40 from corsair.

I have a Hyper 212+ in an ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 and have at least 1/4 inch of clearance between the cooler and the ram. To bad your motherboard put the ram so close to the cpu.
