Tried looking for the rule that states it, couldn't find it so fair enough, but no-one who has no relevant qualifications (or can prove themselves to be well-versed in malware removal) is meant to help out in that particular forum. This is because it's quite easy for someone inexperienced in it to cause someone to break their system rather than fix it.

The permissions were setup incorrectly in that area. They have been fixed. We ask that only trained members of the site or site staff to assist members with issues in regards to malware removal. We have specific training to help assist others. While we are not saying others dont, there have been times when the advise given was more harmful than good. So the steps have been taken to make sure that only authorized personnel can post in the appropriate areas now.

The Tech-Forums Staff and Tech-Forums Security Team are the only ones that we ask to assist in removal.
