I was just wondering if this was possible and if it was if someone could tell me the proper connections?? The purpose being I have wiring diagrams downloaded to my Android phone for my Jeep I need for a project w my Jeep out in my garage and don't wanna drag my whole computer out or keep going back and forth. I have an extra monitor and bought a cheapie VGA cord and cut a one side off of each the VGA cord and my phone's charger to splice them, but cannot figure out the correct pairings. I have a 15 prong VGA cord and the cord for my charger reveals 4 wires (Red;VCC, Green;data+, White;data- and then a black ground) I am not overly worried about the phone frying as it is old and just works on wifi nor does the monitor matter as both have no function really and are just sitting around. I am worried if I can fry a circuit or start a fire, tho stil wanna try unless someone says it is imminent. If anyone knows how or is smart enough to discern what goes where, I would really appreciate the help as I'm just turning circles anymore. Also, on the VGA, is the inside white straw or whatever the wire or insulation?<img src="http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc456/OhioYJRunner/" border="0" alt="">

Anything USB = Digital
VGA = Analog
you can't do digital to analog without some sort of converter in between.

I didn't think it was possible or it would be done already. Plus, upon plugging into the usb port on my tv, I would be able to see my screen instead of just data and whatnot. So I should prolly give up on that method then? Is there any way you can think of to enlarge/transfer my screen without pulling my desk apart to take my tower outside for repair info. I wanna get a laptop here eventually, but can't afford it right now. I saw some early generation laptops on craigslist for less than $50, but not sure that would do too much as most sisn't even have a gig of harddrive. My phone is a hotspot, but most are also sans wifi which means another purchase as I'm sure the usb couldn't transfer signal like that either. could I potentially solder the needed video outputs directly from the circuits inside the phone on it's board? Sry, after I get something in my head, I have to explore every avenue and think it would be pretty cool to blow up a phone screen's size

Well depends on your ideas to get it to work. I was figuring it would have to be my Motorola Droid (original model) cuz my other phone (HTC MyTouch 4G) didn't have display w a broken screen. But I took that apart so I could could see the video connection to the motherboard for any ideas . I can also put it back together or take the droid apart too. Tho I would have to get cute to get it to power on if I put it back together cuz I ripped the ribbon coming from the power button pulling the glass out

@ ohiostonemason82, please don't double post, if you have something else to add to the conversation and no one has posted a reply since your last post (within a 24 hr. period), please use the edit button (looks like a pencil) to add it to your previous post.

I Did not know I could do that. Thanks for letting me know. I am pretty new to using forums and don't know much about protocols/tendencies and def don't wanna annoy anyone trying to help.
