Freezing computer plz help

I have had this problem for a while now and I cannot seem to get it fixed.

Whenever I try to play any pc game on my desktop, The computer freezes and the screen goes blue.

I think it might be to do with the GPU, here are my specs: ati radeon hd 4670, 1gb gddr3 mem. @ 800mhz, and a core clock of 750mhz.

it could be to do with gpu overheating or your graphics card is stuffed. download HWMONITOR and run a game for a while and post a screen shot of the hwmonitor with all your temperatures etc..

I've got 2 hardware monitors, ati gpu monitor and "gpu-z".

All my temps are fine it seems.

Although a few minutes ago, I applied some compatibility settings to the particular game I wanted to run, and it seems to be working.

What temps are you getting? Do you mean, as a blue screen, a BSOD or just the color blue?

What happens is, the game freezes and all the windows controls are cut off, the mouse won't move, adn the keyboard is non-responsive. The screen can go pretty much any colour: i've had pink, purple, blue and grey in the past.
(not bsod, i don't get any error messages at all)
The audio then goes in to a glitchy loop and The only way to get the computer to work again is to hold the power button until it switches off.

Sounds like a faulty graphics card. Did you try to overclock it at all?
