OCZ SSD question.

Anyone know anything about the Plextor PX-M2 Series PX-256M2S 2.5" 256GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)? Good deal right now.

I might go with the OCZ cause it is a killer deal. How hard is it to upgrade the firmware? Anyone care to elaborate on it? Thanks.

Read slaymate's post on the first page. It's really simple. You just download the firmware, burn the .iso file to a cd using a free program like Active ISO I think it's called. Then go into bios and set your cd drive as the first boot and follow the installation from there. There's nothing complicated about it.

Can I use the new computer that I am building without an os installed yet or should I use a computer I already have and hook it up to a port in it?

Yes you can. The .iso download runs the firmware update from a version of Linux.

I really don't know but I hope so. The only time I experienced any of these problems I switched to the Microsoft AHCI SATA driver and they went away.
