Hey guys, first post :) I recently sold off my Nvidea 9800GTX 512mb GPU, which I regret now, as the stock things in these machines can't even handle minecraft very well. So I'm looking at buying a low to midranged GPU that'll let me play some of the older games with a bit better performance. Chances are for any of the newer games I'll just use my 360 so I don't need anything too fancy. I also only have a 300 watt PSU so keep in mind I'll have to grab a new one if I decide on the cards that need that. So far I've come across these:

For $50 Newegg.com - XFX PVT84JUDD3 GeForce 8600GT XXX 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card

For $120 (A little high but I can probably do a partial trade, or get him to lower the price) Newegg.com - BFG Tech BFGR88768GTXOCE GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

For $20 Newegg.com - XFX GT220XZNF2 GeForce GT 220 1GB 128-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Youre in Canada so you can't get any of those. And you DO NOT NEED A NEW PSU.

A 220,430, 440 520 all work just fine on a 300W power supply and the 440 is roughly a 8800gt in specs so it should be good if you actually did want to game.

The 440 can be had for as little 59 bucks at directcanada.com and ncix.com after the mir, the other cards are even cheaper.

Wow, this 430 is a great deal
Newegg.ca - XFX GT-430X-ZAF2 GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

So you ca get great cards and not have to get a new psu.

Listen to old paton here, that GT430 you see would paddle anything else you had in mind.
Think of it as mini version of GTX460 but with electricity requirements, I have one, but it is a galaxy model, couldn't be any more happier.
Look into the GT500 series as this abit more stronger for todays newer games.
