Hey guys, building a gaming rig for my friend and want to present him with two lists, one with a bigger budget and one with a tighter budget. The prices quoted are off NCIX including shipping/insurance and taxes (take note I live in Canada); furthermore, there are additional mail-in-rebates but I choose to neglect that from the lists to minimize confusion. Also, price-matching isn't taken into consideration just yet. Please offer suggestions as to what components I can switch up. His purposes are general: gaming and movies..

On your expensive option you went with a large psu, so i would assume you may be interested in upgrading. With that said I would think that a z68 mobo would serve you better.
