Hi, I'm getting a GTX580 and looking for a cheaper card that I can get to do PhysX using SLI. I currently have a GTS250 but it's not compatible with the 580 upon my research. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations to go with this? here's my build.

ASRock Z68 Pro Gen3
i7 2600K cpu
GTX 580
G. Skills RipJaws X-series 8GB
Corsair TX750W PSU
SSD 240GB Mushkin SATA 3
Corsair H100 Water Cooling
Corsair 500R Carbide Case
Windows 7 (64-bit)

How is it not compatible for physix?

You cannot sli any other card than the same, ie gtx 580.

Physix is NOT connected in sli, and has nothing to do with sli.

For physix, the 250 is just fine. To even run 2 more monitors the 250 is just fine too.

From the last thread you posted:
Using a dedicated graphics card for physx is not SLI. SLI can only be configured with two similar cards. Using a dedicated card for physx will actually kill your frame rate unless the game supports physx. BF3 will not support physx and I cant find a single upcoming game that will. So this seems like a dead end.

If you want to SLi, you have to get another GTX 580.
If you want a dedicated PhysX card, try the GTS 250 first. It won't SLi with the 580 (read above) but should work fine for dedicated PhysX.
