I'm about to get a new graphics card this week (described in the title) which I will use mostly for gaming, but a few people got me wondering if my PS would be enough to maintain it. My current Power Supply is a MMA6600 BTX *600w*. I should also mention that I have a Quad Core AMD 965 and 4GB RAM.

I can barely afford the graphics card as it is, so the question in place is: Is it extremely neccesary to get a better power supply? In that case I'd have to delay the purchease until I can cover both.

Thank you in advance!

I can't find any info about a MMA6600 BTX 600W power supply. This would lead me to think thats it's a poorly made unit. You might get lucky and it will work, but I have my doubts. I would plan on upgrading the power supply as soon as possible even if it seems to be working.
