RAM: $70 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600 CAS8.
GPU: $225 EVGA GTX 560Ti.
ODD: $21 Asus 24x DVD/CD Burner.
PSU: $110 Corsair TX650M.
OS: $110 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit OEM.
Case: ~$70

Total = $1,051 (before rebates/shipping/other combos)
Overshot by a little bit, will try and clean it up.

Looking pretty good to me, except the mother board, seems like it got alot of bad reviews

Edit. and im not sure about this but dont i need a sound card as well?

Every motherboard looks to have 4:5 eggs, except one in the $270 range.
Most of the bad reviews are either people who messed something up, or just got a DOA board (happens occasionally), but Asus arguably makes the best motherboards.

All current motherboards come with on-board sound, which is sufficient for gamers and average users.

Edit- oh and the i7 thing, isnt that alot better then the i5? or am i just wrong

You won't need the extra stuff from the i7. The 2500K is enough to make you happy for years.

Depending on how far away you are from a distribution center, 3-5 days probably.

The difference between the second gen i5 and i7 is the i7 has better integrated graphics and hyper-threading.
Integrated graphics is no benefit since you have a video card.
Hyper-threading is for multi-tasking and certain CPU intensive programs, not useful for gaming.

*Edit - Can cut $15 off the price by getting the G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600 CAS9.
Essentially the same RAM, just slightly slower.
