Welcome to TF.

You only need the main components? no keyboard/mouse/monitor? And an OS?

I built up a sweet rig for 300ish with no operating system a bit ago, in the cheap system thread. Though the bundles over.

Only problem with building these systems is its very time dependant because of deals. I don't have the time to build out a system, but i'll come back to this later.

Also where are you located, anbd do you have a store you want to use? I'll build from newegg.

difference between these 2 is latency the one with .9 latency is your best bet and will not cause much problems when adding in more ram to OC.

Pick up this and use this as your main hdd, split the partition later so windows orlinux will have a easier time navigating through hdd's data plate when accessing files quickly.

Total so far is 197.92 leaving you plenty for a decent case, heatsink and a os.

I probably say you hit the jackpot with this other members will probably improve this but this is as good as it will get.
Plus it will be functional for most home, office, and hacking needs. "scratch the hacking part for now" ;)

will this be everything i need to build my tower? and i dont see a video card o-o. should i use the one jasonalwaysready posted? and will it be compatible with my tower. thanks :D

that motherboard is deactivated. this one is highly rated at newegg:
Newegg.com - BIOSTAR A785G3 AM3 AMD 785G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

the motherboard has a x16 pcie slot, the video card is for a x16 pcie slot. they are compatible.

the motherboard is microatx, the midtower can fit an atx. micro is smaller than the full version, so they are compatible. speaking of which, the case is personal preference. you can pretty much pick out anything here: Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Computer Cases, Computer Cases, No, ATX Mid Tower
