hi all. this is my first build and it will be used mainly for gaming and the usual (browsing the net, movies, music, ect.)
my budget i around £400, i already have: hard drive, moniter, dvd writer, keyboard and mouse.
i have done alot of research and finally decided on the parts. this is a budget gaming build, i will be gaming on a 19" 720p screen and dont mind lowering the settings. i dont need overlclocking, SLI/Crossfire, usb3.0.
here it is:
intel i5 2400(£151):http://www.ebuyer.com/251595-intel-...et-lga-1155-6mb-l3-cache-retail-bx80623i52400
asus h61 mobo(£53):http://www.ebuyer.com/261406-asus-p...nel-hd-audio-matx-motherboard-p8h61-m-le-r3-0
2x2GB GSkill(£28):http://www.ebuyer.com/264746-g-skil...mory-kit-cl8-8-8-8-21-1-5v-f3-10666cl8d-4gbrm
xigmatek white knight case(£30):http://www.ebuyer.com/274410-xigmatek-midgard-white-knight-case-cpc-t55dw-u01
Thermaltake 575W Modular PSU(£55): http://www.ebuyer.com/234911-thermaltake-575w-toughpower-xt-modular-psu-tpx-575m
EVGA GTX 460 1GB(£133.5): http://www.dabs.com/products/evga-geforce-gtx-460-763mhz-1gb-pci-express-hdmi-sc-7K93.html
i know there are better deals for the gtx460 but i went for the evga for the 10yr warranty, plus the rest werent that much cheaper.
also there were cheaper psu offers but i went for the 5yr warranty.
as for the ram i was told to get 1600MHz but the specs of the mobo says it only supports 1066/1333MHz, and i was told that its ok to get 1600MHz on a 1333MHz board, is this true?
so what do u think? will this build be ok for the next 3-4 yrs gaming at medium settings? is it overpriced?
