How hot is too hot? I have my temp probe stuck in the cooling fins of my CPU heatsink and at gaming levels it is around 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Is that too much? Thanks

It depends on so many things. What CPU do you have?

Putting a sensor on the fins will not tell you the exact temperatures. Use CoreTemp or something to get the internal temperature.

In computer talk, we use Celsius.

120F isn't bad, but, that's the temp probe your using. Use something like HWMonitor, it will give better results than a probe placed between heatsink fins.

Thanks for the reply. PSU is a SilverStone SST-ST1000-P. Temps get hotter but did not have the time to stress it out. Might post later when I do.
