RAM timings

Hi,

I am currently dealing with BSODS and I want to make sure my RAM i running at spec. However, I can't work out what the final timing is. I'm using this RAM:

and it gives the timing 9-9-9 - there is no fourth digit. How can I work out what the final timing is?

Just go for the slowest (10 probably) to be safe. The vast majority of 9-9-9 RAM is -10.

When I leave the final timing setting on Auto it goes to 24, so I think I'll just leave it at that.

The timings for most DDR3 cas 9 memory will be 9-9-9-24

You can download CPU-Z, install the program and then start the application. Once the application is started click on the tab labeled "SPD", you will see a selection box with the options Slot#1, Slot#2, etc... Select a Slot that has a memory module installed and it will list the recommended latencies.

Didn't know CPUz hat that feature. BTW, it does give 24 for the final timing.

Hmm, I dunno why I thought it was 10. Maybe that's common for DDR2?

I think I have got it to stop BSODing, but I don't think it's anything to do with the memory timings. I believe a BIOS update is what fixed it. But that said, it was not unusual for me to go for weeks without a BSOD and then have loads of them all in one day.
Does anyone know what this might indicate?
