Im building my very first gaming rig. I'd let to be running games like Battlefield 3 and skyrim, on low settings if needed. However I do want to be able to run Dx 11 as well. Let me know what you think!

Also with a monitor, keyboard, mouse and windows 7 of course. All together this comes to about $569 which is honestly alittle MORE then i'd like to pay. POST!

The only way it can run DX11 is if you install Windows 7. DX10 is built into Vista and XP can only support DX9. Linux doesnt support DX at all since that is a Microsoft technology but you can use something like Wine to emulate it.

I would suggest doing some comparison shopping on Newegg.com, from what I've seen your components are cheaper there, except the video card which has been deactivated.
Also, don't forget you'll need an optical drive, unless you already have one kicking around.

Personally I would wait. BF3 won't release till late October at the earliest (fingers crossed) and Skyrim should be early November (I smell a pushback), I would scrimp and save until then. Not only will you have more money to put into the computer, but components are going to decrease in price.

I think you could run that game at 1680x1050 on high settings.

Definitely not. Why don't you just save up a little more money dude? Even if you spent $50-$60 more you would be doing way better.

Look for the gtx 460 1GB in EVGA's bstock: EVGA | Products | Product List
It is $110, and will play this game on high. Idk about very high and ultra high with the full release, but this will max the alpha that is currently out I am sure. What is $630 compared to $570? It would be worth it. You would be getting a much better bang for your buck.
