Yup, it's basically what I'd tell you to get anyway (except for the mobo, though if it runs stable at 4.5GHz then it should be fine).

The motherboard is fine. That it can run the CPU at 4.5GHz shows that.

Coooool. Right, so I'm really having troubles on deciding if it's worth to do which of the following:

- Buy this overclocked system (the 2nd mobo and 8gb of ram) for ~£390
- or buy the same components from different suppliers, although not overclocked or pre-installed for ~£325

For a £65 difference it's definitely worth doing it yourself. It's very easy to overclock Sandy Bridge CPUs, and we can always help you out. I'd put the extra money on a better CPU cooler and getting an Asus P8P67 Pro mobo.

i.e. these components
CPU http://www.ebuyer.com/product/251596
RAM http://www.ebuyer.com/product/264750
Mobo http://www.ebuyer.com/product/260185
Cooler http://www.ebuyer.com/product/245376
That's got a £361.52 total, I dunno how you got it as low as £325 getting the stuff on reputable sites?

That price is including the non pro Asus mobo at over £40 less though.

My real question is, is it worth the me spending more money for the 'better' motherboards? Or will the difference be insignificant?
