Ok so it's time for me to build a new PC for my parents.

I sort of have a build from Scan.co.uk but I am unsure about the power supply and also what graphics card to get. It's a general computer for my parents. They only need internet, basic processes and the ability to watch movies on a 24 inch monitor well enough :p

Any help would be appreciated, this is what I have:

CPU: Scan.co.uk: Intel CPU i3 2100 Sandy Bridge Dual Core Processor - BX80623I32100

Motherboard: Scan.co.uk: Asus P8P67 LE Rev3 Intel P67 Express Socket 1155 Motherboard - P8P67 LE <Rev.3.0>

RAM: Scan.co.uk: Corsair Memory XMS3 4GB DDR3 1333 Mhz CAS 8 Dual Channel Desktop - CMX4GX3M2A1333C8

HDD: Scan.co.uk: Samsung 1Tb Spinpoint F3 Hard Drive - HDD - HD103SJ

DVD: Scan.co.uk: SATA 22x DVD Writer SAMSUNG SH-S222AB/BEBE

PSU: Scan.co.uk: Corsair Builder Series CMPSU-500CXUK 500W Power Supply (PSU)

How is this? I don't need a case as I have a spare one. I just need a graphics card sorted out. Something that will last them for a good 5 years as well. I think an i3 is good enough for what they need, right? Also I wasn't too sure on the motherboard either!

Thanks!

That all looks good to me, though if you use this link

You get the RAM and HDD together and save almost a tenner.

My GPU suggestion. It will be great so long as they don't plan on playing any fancy 3D games.
Scan.co.uk: KFA2 NVIDIA GT 520 Graphics Card - 1GB - 52GGS4HX9DTX
It has a passive cooler, so there's less sound.
Edit: As mentioned by paton and brinks below, the integrated GPU on the i3 will be fine for watching films, though if they plan on watching 1080p content you'll want to go for the dedicated card.

Since it's a not a high-end gaming machine you might want to build a mATX machine, so it's smaller (and lighter). Go for this motherboard:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-p8h67-m-le-rev3-intel-h67-s1155-pci-e-20-x16-ddr3-1333-sata-6gb-s-raid-matx-vga
And get this case if you want to go the mATX route:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-tm-250-black-silver-microatx-case-w-o-psu
Another case option, fancier this time with a built-in card reader:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/colors-it-4670-gloss-black-micro-atx-case-with-all-in-one-card-reader-and-1394-port-with-450w-psu

If its quite general use, get An h67 or z67 and just use the onboard gpu of the cpu.

A 450W psu would be plenty to run with or without a dedicated gpu, like the one yami posted, which would be perfect.. or a 430 if you find a sale.

You could get a motherboard with video output and just use the cpu's iGPU. A video card is not needed for basic task and watching movies.

If they plan on watching HD movies they'll want the dedicated card. If not then yes, the integrated will be plenty.

Another case option, fancier this time with a built-in card reader:
Scan.co.uk: CiT 4670 Gloss Black micro-ATX Case with 450W PSU All In One Card Reader & 1394 port - CIT4670

Isn't this more powerful and cheaper?

EDIT: I think it glitched on me and I accidentally double posted.
Er... Do you think this would be a case that fits his needs?
