new grafics card help

If you use VGA, then I guess 5770 would be all you need for maxing out the settings and getting the maximum resolution supported by the cable. (VGA is low-res, DVI is high-res)

If VGA is in any part of the connection, it will be low-res.
Modern VGA can do up to 2048×1536. I'd call that high-res. Personally I've done 1080p over VGA (from my laptop to my monitor).

I need to stop using Wikipedia...


EDIT: Doesn't it go by a different technical name for the high-res versions?

QXGA or something like that?

Or is Wikipedia really full of ****? :p
