First build. Budget PC, Any advice?

I've never built a PC before but its something I've always wanted to do. Im looking to build a light gaming / internet budget pc. Ive put a build together but im not positive its all 100% compatible

Do I need a CPU cooler?
Also like i said ive never build a pc before any building tips would be much appreciated.

For any amount of gaming, a heatsink is a plus. Especially if you want to overclock.

Theres the build. However not very important anymore seeing as i just accidentally won a PC off ebay. I'll still take some tips on this build.

The computer I won is used here are the specs
Alienware Case- lights up blue
Nvidia Geforce 9500GT
Foxcon Motherboard
AMD Phenom 9600 Quadcore 2.3ghz
350GB HDD
4 GB ram
2 fans
Windows 7 Professional and Lightning on it
HDMI Port

Shipping included I payed 235$
I plan on maybe upgrading down the road but regardless, Good deal???

That GPU and CPU doesn't look very good...

Not sure how good Foxconn is either.

I guess the HDD and RAM is enough, same with the fans.

Maybe upgrade the CPU (thus mobo) and GPU some time?

EDIT: Replacing the mobo would also mean you have to get a new copy of the OS. :/

Maybe down the road i'll invest some, I think this computer should be more than enough, In all honesty, My current 2.4gz pentium r, 512mb ram system supports my desires just fine lol, just looking for something cheap and a bit more power. nothing serious.

Do not get that PSU. Cheap, I know, but that bad manufacturer can easily harm your computer. At least get a Antec Earthwatts.

Just don't be expecting to play any high-end games from this time period.
You wouldn't be able to Crysis well on Medium...



Also, don't go with that PSU. You don't want the PSU blowing up on you.

That motherboard uses DDR3 ram, you picked out DDR2.
